Camp AsthmaCadabra

volunteers: General Information

The American Lung Association in Pennsylvania - Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Office and the Max and Lorraine Foundation will sponsor the 19th annual Camp AsthmaCadabra August 3 through August 6, 2017. Please take a minute and mark these dates on your calendar.

We are asking once again for your help and to consider volunteering for Camp AsthmaCadabra 2017. Planning has already begun, and the camp committee needs to have an idea of the staffing situation. Our plans are to accept up to 60 children; our ability to do this depends on volunteer commitment. We hope you will consider helping.

For 2017 the clearance procedures have changed. Volunteers who are more than 18 years of age must complete both the Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Record Check and the Pennsylvania State Child Abuse History Clearance; detailed information may be found by clicking on “PSP Clearance” and “Child Abuse History” in the sidebar to the right. In addtion volunteers who are 18 years of age or older, must also complete the Asthma Camp Declaration Form which may be downloaded from the “downloads” page of our website and mail it to the Asthma Camp Director:

American Lung Association in Pennsylvania-Scranton Office
117 First Street
Eynon, PA 18403

Volunteers who are under the age of 18 DO NOT have to complete the Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Record Check or the Pennsylvania State Child Abuse History Clearance. They must however, complete the Asthma Camp Declaration form which may be downloaded from the “downloads” page of our website and mail it to the Asthma Camp Director:

117 First Street
Eynon, PA 18403
